This Zweigelt comes from top vineyards in Kamptal, where the deep, nutrient-rich soils and strong temperature differences create a pronounced fruitiness. The dry, warm Pannonian climate mixes with the cool, strong winds from the northwestern Waldviertel, which contributes to the character of the wine.

Vinification After a particularly mild winter with little rainfall, the vines did not start to bud until late April. However, persistent drought and warm weather caused early flowering, although in many areas this was accompanied by rain at these sensitive times. Rainfall just before the main harvest caused accelerated ripening, despite the rather modest sugar development.
