A fine and pure wine, precise cherry, and strawberry fruit, with the slightest hold of tannin.  An extraordinarily good wine, especially considering how hot and dry the vintage was. Grapes: Corvina and Corvinone (80%), Rondinella (20%) Molinara (up to 5%, depending on the vintage)

A simple wine of perfect proportions, the little black dress of red wines.  The vines are grown on fossil-rich, calcareous-loams with an east to southeast exposure, a high-trained Pergola Veronese* system; an ancient system that is proving well suited to these days of climate change.  The vines are between 25 and 80 years old, there are wells on the property to help sustain the vines in periods of extreme drought, fortunately for 2022.

The grapes are hand-picked in the early hours before a spontaneous fermentation in temperature-controlled steel tanks (maximum of 25˚C) lasting 7 days, after which the wine is racked off* the skins and aged for a further 5 months in steel.  The wine is given a light filtration before bottling.
