Paulo Laureano is regarded as one of the most esteemed winemakers in Portugal and serves as a benchmark for wines produced in the Alentejo region. An agronomist and oenologist, he received his training across Portugal, Australia, and Spain. After a decade of teaching at the University of Évora, he chose to focus solely on his passion for winemaking, which he has pursued since 2003.

As the name suggests, this wine is crafted from old vines of indigenous Portuguese grape varieties, including Antão Vaz, Arinto, and Fernão Pires. Each variety is vinified separately before being blended prior to bottling, with Antão Vaz undergoing fermentation in barrels, while the other two are fermented in stainless steel.

This wine is fresh and elegant, exhibiting aromas of tropical fruits, citrus, and subtle notes of white flowers. On the palate, this blend of white varieties is both silky and creamy, showcasing excellent acidity.

This wine pairs beautifully with grilled fish and soft cheeses.

Of course, it is possible to give the wines online via Wines of Eden as gifts to family, friends, acquaintances or business relations.

Please feel free to contact us to hear about the possibilities.
