We harvest this sensitive variety in several rounds. The vines on which the grapes for this typical wine grow are half a century old and are planted on loess soils in south-facing terraces. We mature it in new barriques &#8211; the wood supports its aroma development as does the biological acid reduction. In the glass, Sankt Laurent unfolds fruity notes of cherries, plums and earthy tones of beetroot.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When\u00a0it\u00a0comes\u00a0to\u00a0vineyard\u00a0practices,\u00a0Sankt\u00a0Laurent\u00a0is\u00a0the\u00a0diva\u00a0of\u00a0wines,\u00a0needing\u00a0a\u00a0great\u00a0deal\u00a0of\u00a0care\u00a0and\u00a0attention. The\u00a0grapes\u00a0for\u00a0this\u00a0classic\u00a0wine\u00a0are\u00a0grown\u00a0on\u00a0half-century-old\u00a0vines\u00a0that\u00a0are\u00a0placed\u00a0on\u00a0south-facing\u00a0terraces\u00a0with\u00a0loess\u00a0soils.<\/p>\n<p>We\u00a0age\u00a0it\u00a0in\u00a0fresh\u00a0barriques,\u00a0where\u00a0the\u00a0wood\u00a0and\u00a0the\u00a0biological\u00a0acid\u00a0reduction\u00a0aid\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0development\u00a0of\u00a0its\u00a0bouquet.
