So far, only one critic we monitor has sampled this Cotes de Provence wine.

Critic’s tasting note: (2014 vintage) “Crafted from grapes grown organically, this wine exhibits fruity, crisp, and fresh apple notes. Its appealing herbal quality maintains brightness and imparts a mineral, tangy texture. It is recommended to age the wine for several months and to consume it starting from mid-2016.” – Wine Enthusiast

Mas de Cadenet is the primary wine crafted by the vineyard. It most effectively showcases the remarkable limestone terroir of the Sainte-Victoire appellation. These wines are robust, enticingly fruity, and refreshing, embodying the minerality of the terroir.

This region of Provence is primarily recognized for its rosé wine; however, the red wines can also be quite exceptional, particularly in a vintage such as 2020, which yielded notably ripe fruit. This wine is rich in flavor while still maintaining a sense of elegance. Cézanne immortalized the mountain of Saint Victoire in his artwork, and at its base lies this estate, which has been the residence of the Negrel family for seven generations.

This cuvée is named “Sleepless Night” because the winemakers collect their grapes during the night to evade the intense sunlight of Provence. Nighttime grape harvesting ensures that the wines are fresher, fruitier, and more abundant. It is a wine meant to be enjoyed throughout the night!
